UVI CELL's Young Entrepreneur Development Program, powered by ALTITUT, empowers Virgin Islands youth to build real ventures through AI-driven practice, iterative feedback, and strategic faculty mentorship.
The Challenge
Delivering high-quality entrepreneurship education across an island territory presents unique structural challenges. UVI CELL's faculty identified two critical barriers to scaling the Young Entrepreneur Development Program:
Scaling Individualized Mentorship
The program covers idea development, market research, branding, marketing, financial planning, and pitch preparation over six months. Providing high-touch iterative feedback across all of these areas to each student simultaneously presents a massive scaling challenge for faculty.
Geographic & Access Barriers
Students are spread across St. Thomas, St. Croix, and St. John. The bi-monthly evening workshop format requires flexible, location-independent access to practice and receive formative feedback between sessions, something traditional in-person-only models cannot provide.
UVI CELL needed a technology solution that could provide objective, private, and asynchronous feedback to students between workshop sessions, allowing them to refine their business models carefully before stepping into the public pitch showcase.

To address these challenges, UVI CELL integrated ALTITUT directly into the Young Entrepreneur Development Program curriculum. This collaboration fundamentally transformed how students learn and how faculty teach:
Asynchronous Learning Across All Three Islands
- Students engage with structured entrepreneurship exercises from St. Thomas, St. Croix, or St. John between bi-monthly workshop sessions
- An objective, private environment where students can practice presentations and receive immediate formative feedback on pitch mechanics
- Asynchronous access means learning is not constrained by the Thursday evening workshop schedule or physical proximity to campus
- Students refine their business models, market research, and financial plans carefully before ever stepping into the public arena
